What is ECOS DigitalPeas?
ECOS DigitalPeas is a file storage service that allows you to save, version, manage, search, tag, categorise, catalog, add attributes, add attachments, create conversions, copyright, page flip, share, print, publish, view logs and order your assets all in one place.

Things you can do with ECOS DigitalPeas
Store any file on the Internet, and get it from anywhere
Storing your assets in one place makes it easy to have access to you files from any computer that has access to the Internet.
Easily navigate your assets
You can easily navigate your assets by tagging, categorising, cataloging, putting them in folders and starring them. By using our advanced search you can search your assets by; title, file name, description, tags, categories, folders, catalog, attributes, copyrights, attachments and if you have uploaded a PDF or your asset has been converted to a PDF part of your asset will be searchable by its content.
Share your assets with other users or email a secure link
You are able to give different permissions to each asset. You can grant permissions to all members within your group or even individual members in your group. When you grant permissions to an individual user you can alert the user with an automated email. You are also able to email a link to an assets original file or any conversions that you have made on an asset that will be valid for one click or a limited amount of time to anybody with an email address.
Create different versions of your asset
You are able to create different versions of your asset and choose which one you want to be the current active version for the asset. With this you could collaborate with other people about your asset.

Star any asset
You are able to star any asset you have access to and you can view all your starred assets in one place.

Tag your assets
You are able to organise your assets using your own personal tagging system. For more information read our What are tags? FAQ entry.
Organise your assets in to multiple categories (requires account to have feature enabled)
You are able to organise your assets in to multiple categories per asset. With an easy to use interface you can find all assets within a category.
Organise your assets in to different folders (requires account to have feature enabled)
You are able to organise your assets in to different folders and use an easy to use folder file system to retrieve them.
Organise your assets in to a catalog (requires account to have feature enabled)
You are able to organise your assets in to a catalog and view and retrieve assets using the catalog hierarchy.
Add a copyright option to an asset or version (requires account to have feature enabled)
You can select a copyright option for your asset or version. If your asset or version has a copyright option an
icon will be displayed next to it.
Asset logs
You can view the details of the asset from when it was created, the changes made to an asset during an edit and all the changes that get made when a new version is linked to the asset.
Asset and version attachments (requires account to have feature enabled)
You can attach supporting files to any asset and or version. If your asset or version has attachments an
icon will be displayed.
Asset and version conversions (requires account to have feature enabled)
You can resize and convert certain assets and versions to different formats. You can convert assets or versions that are of these types; gif, jpg, png, tif, tiff, bmp, eps, ps, psd, epi, pdf or if a PDF has been created from the file. You can convert and resize assets and versions to these formats; gif, jpg, png, tif, pdf, bmp, eps, ps and psd.
Digital Printing (requires account to have feature enabled)
You can digitally print any asset or version you upload that is a PDF or has been converted to a PDF using our easy to use ordering system. Once you have placed an order you can place a re-order easily. You can also view your ordering history for an asset or version or your entire ordering history.
Publish to ECOS WebStore (requires account to have feature enabled)
If you already have an ECOS WebStore setup you can easily publish images and documents from ECOS DigitalPeas to products on your ECOS WebStore. You can also view your publish history on an asset or version or your entire publishing history.
Page Flip (requires account to have feature enabled)
If you have uploaded a PDF or your asset has been converted to a PDF you will be able to view a portion of your asset as a virtual book. (Requires Adobe Flash).
Administrating your ECOS DigitalPeas site
If your user account has been setup as an administrator you can manage and maintain; users, categories, attributes, folders, catalog, product codes, copyright options, templates and your site logo depending on the features your ECOS DigitalPeas account has enabled. You can also view your daily storage usage.
When you delete a user all assets, versions and information will be deleted for that user so please be careful.
Saving a Digital Asset
Saving a digital asset is likely to be a little different then what you're use to. Don't worry; we've made the process intuitive.
To create an asset go to the
new asset
page and fill in and submit the provided form. See below for more details.

When you save or update an asset a few things happen
If your account has the 'convert to PDF' option turned on your asset will be converted to a PDF if it is one of these types; doc, docx, xls, csv, odt, sxw, rtf, wpd, txt, html, htm, ods, sxc, tsv, odp, sxi or ppt.
A thumbnail will be created for your asset if it is one of these types; gif, jpg, png, tif, tiff, bmp, eps, ps, psd, epi, pdf or the asset has had a PDF created.
If your asset is a PDF or has had a PDF created a portion of the document will be available to be searched.

On the right side of the screen, our sidebars help you navigate tags and the main sections of the site quickly and easily.
